This moving drawing was made on a paper receipt roll, and hand-pulled in front of a fixed video camera. I continue to be surprised at how compelling it is to watch. I made this piece out of an interest in the still image transformed into a moving image, like individual film stills. The video is my experiment with this idea, by altering the rhythm of it through the action of hand-pulling the paper in front of the camera.
